MAKAR | The Maple Syrup Weirdo (January 2005)

ah...New York...

so MAKAR is strolling off to rehearsal on this wintery evening and on the way to the yellow line (catching a cab on the corner) this strange thin dude is walking circles in the snowy sidewalk. They pass him and Mark notices he is holding a bottle of maple syrup. He just has this freakish vibe. Andrea finds this amusing and starts to sing quietly, "people are strange..."

Of course, the little weirdo probably heard this and decides this is a mating call or something. He follows the dynamic duo from a distance circling like a lunatic vulture. Andrea is now uncomfortably laughing. Mark gives the freaky dude a look. He ducks back.

They've reached the corner and Andrea has to mail a letter. The freak takes this opportunity to approach Mark but not say anything but smile like a nutter swimming in a fruitcake. He makes as if he is going into the diner on the corner but comes closer to Mark. At that point Mark blocks him with the biggest umbrella in the world Avengers style.

The freak leaves.

Mark and Andrea wonder is maybe he's only a fan and they abused him unnecessarily. Or maybe it's just NYC and everyday a new weirdo...
