MAKAR’s position is based on 3 categories (1) amount of airplay in 3 months, (2) same for 12 months, and (3) a composite amount plus extra credit for acts that the host sees and/or books in the last 3 months.
Airplay for purposes of this chart focused on all airplay granted to acts from July 2005 through June 2006. The top 100 of all 3 categories were counted, and only those that placed in all 3 categories were counted for the quarterly chart.
